SMU, Executive Development will be issuing an electronic version of the certificate from December 2021 onwards. These documents are considered official and can be validated as they have been digitally certified.
Our Certificate Verification portal serves employers, institutions of higher learning or recruitment agencies who wish to verify digital documents conferred by SMU, Executive Development. Simply, send the OpenCert file to your preferred third party and they will be able to verify the authenticity of the certificate by following the steps below.
To view or prove an OpenCert's authenticity, you can:
1. Save the OpenCert file attachment which provided in email upon your programme completion.
2. Visit https://exd.smu.edu.sg/verify
3. Upload or drag and drop the OpenCert file into the certificate renderer on the page
For re-issuance resulted from a change of name, please provide supporting identification documents be verified by our SMU ExD administrators.
The charges and details for re-issuance are as follows:
Cost to re-issue Digital Certificate: *USD$50 for 1 time request only.
Payment must be received before your request can be processed. Please allow, in general, 5 working days after we receive your payment to re-issue the digital certificate.
*SMU reserves the right to change/adjust such charges in the future. Amount paid is non-refundable.
