SMU-VIETSTAR ASEAN Fellowship in Energy Sustainability

Overview​​​​​​​

The ASEAN Fellowship in Energy Sustainability Programme is jointly developed by SMU and Vietstar to enhance sustainable leadership capacity of ASEAN leaders.

Announced at the Vietnam Singapore Board Forum (VSBF 2024), the programme aims to equip leaders to analyse and evaluate strategic decisions to promote innovative sustainable business practices and accelerate energy transition in businesses.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand ESG frameworks - Learn about the fundamentals of ESG and understand how these principles apply specifically to the energy sector.

Mr Rahul is Vice President, Digital Solutions Design at GE Digital and Managing Director of Software Solutions Development at GE Power & Water. He also served as Chief Technical Officer of GE Energy from 2007-2014. Currently, his specialization mainly focuses on the following areas: Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics (RM&D), Industrial Internet, Big Data Analysis, Failure Root Cause Analysis, Customer M&D platform development.

He holds the position of Deputy Dean of Programs at SMU. He is also an Associate Professor of Executive Management at SMU and INSEAD.

Mr Giresh Prabhat is the General Manager in Asia Pacific in GE Vernova. He takes responsibility for leading, defining, building and implementing B2B commercial growth strategy. Before joining GE Vernova, he held Regional Director Asia Pacific in Uniper Energy Asia Pacific.

Professor Hao Liang is currently Co-Director of Singapore Green Finance Centre . He is a research member of European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). He also serves as a member of the Scientific Committee of Geneva Centre for Philanthropy and the Technical Committee for Sustainable Finance of Enterprise Singapore. Professor Liang was two-time winner of the prestigious Moskowitz Prize for Socially Responsible Investing (2014 & 2019).
