Growing your business with the Asian Retail Leaders Programme
By SMU Executive Development and SMU Retail Centre of Excellence
Our participants from the Asian Retail Leaders Programme share their positive experiences after completing the programme.
Through a holistic approach comprising a multi-channel perspective, immersive hands-on experience and close interactions with distinguished faculty and industry experts, the 3-day programme provided a comprehensive learning experience of the modern retail industry in Singapore and China.
Co-delivered by SMU Retail Centre of Excellence and SMU Executive Development, with a masterclasses led by our seasoned trainer Les Buckley, the programme was specifically designed for mid-level managers to senior-level (C-suite) business executives within the broad marketing and retail sector.

I enjoyed the networking and face-to-face interaction with other founders in similar industries. I am also using some of their learnings for both my business and personal needs.

I wanted to learn more about online platforms as we wanted to venture into online channels. Through the program, I have learnt what it means to be both online and offline at the same time with a complementary business strategy that marries both channels, aka omni-channel. The professors, Prof Kapil and Prof Nirmalya, were highly engaging trainers. They not only provide thought provoking insights with relevant business case studies on Amazon, Walmart and Zara, there were also small group activities which bonded the class together. We had fun!
