About the Programme

As we embrace the fourth industrial revolution, we can’t overlook the potential cybersecurity risks that come with the integration of transformative technologies in our daily lives.

To address this challenge, Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has selected the Singapore Management University (SMU), as the academic partner to co-design and deliver, in partnership with ISTARI, the Cybersecurity Strategic Leadership Programme (CSLP), a critical initiative under the SG Cyber Leaders programme. 

Upon completion of the programme, participants will join the most esteemed members of Singapore’s cybersecurity community, uniquely positioned to enhance the country’s profile locally and regionally.

Learning Outcomes

The programme aims to develop a pool of exceptional cybersecurity leaders who are well-versed in international best practices to combat ever-evolving cyber threats and make cybersecurity a business-critical practice within their organisations. 

By the end of the programme, you will be able to—

  • Be equipped with the necessary mindset, attitude, skills, and knowledge to drive organisational and business protection and resilience.
  • Navigate the increasingly complex landscape of cybersecurity by becoming influential strategists within your organisation.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of your role as a cybersecurity leader in the ecosystem to secure your organisation’s cyber-resilient future.
  • Prepare for and effectively manage cybersecurity crises, ensuring that you are equipped to lead with confidence and expertise.
  • Be empowered to make better decisions by possessing the ability to think strategically and maximise the business value created by cybersecurity.
  • Identify and quantify cyber risks and guide cybersecurity-related investment decisions with precision.
  • Mobilise key stakeholders to make cybersecurity a business enabler and develop and leverage a vibrant cybersecurity ecosystem and community.
  • Identify emerging cybersecurity threats, then address related challenges through innovative practices.

  • Understand what a mindset is and how it can be developed.
  • Discover the “center of gravity” of your mindset and identify your potential for development.
  • Maximise your resilience, focus and attention.
  • Develop gravitas and become an influential C-suite while staying true to your values.
  • Maximise the performance and resilience of your team.
  • Contextualise your leadership approach to the needs and maturity of your people.
  • Recruit, grow and retain talents.

13 – 17 July 2026 (5 days)
Overseas Immersion (Cambridge & London, UK) | In-person Sessions+

+Participants are required to make necessary arrangements to accommodate travel time in addition to the scheduled programme dates above.

  • Align on a common understanding of ‘resilience’ and specifically how it relates to the cyber domain.
  • Explore how cyber resilience differs from cybersecurity and what is driving this change.
  • Deep dive into how corporate governance concepts apply to cyber risk management and have been challenged by emerging trends in Board and Regulatory requirements.
  • Explore the concept and theory of strategy, what it is and what it is not within a business context and then craft a business-centric cyber resilience strategy to take back to organizations.
  • Provide a framework and understanding of how power and influence are structured within corporate organizations to aid participants return to the workplace when implementing their resilience strategies.
  • Engage with leading cyber security executives, industry leaders and government decision makers in the United Kingdom to explore and learn from best practices in enterprises and in public-private partnerships.

31 August – 2 September 2026 (3 days)

  • Master the language of finance to better pitch to C-suites and the Board.
  • Make the changes happen in your organization to support your strategy.
  • Use multi-stakeholder engagement practices using the skills of persuasion and influence without formal authority.
  • Develop a security culture in your organisation.
  • Be adaptive and agile to tackle complex challenges.

Who Should Attend

The programme is designed for senior and middle management leaders (C and C-1 levels) of local and regional organisations with substantive cybersecurity responsibility in their roles. 

Aspiring and upcoming cybersecurity leaders and senior managers are also welcome to apply. 
 

Programme Fees1

SGD 28,885 (Including 9% GST2)
SGD 26,500 (Excluding 9% GST3)

1The programme fee is exclusive of any travel, airport transfer, and accommodation costs throughout the programme, which will be borne by the participants or the sponsoring organisations.

2GST applies to self-nominated participants and participants sponsored by Singapore-registered organisations.

3GST not applicable for foreign-based entities.  
 

Subsidy Support

Eligible participants (Singaporeans only) may receive a subsidy of up to 70% of the programme fee from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA).

Chief Executive’s Foreword

Cybersecurity is an important growth sector in Singapore’s economy and digital future. As organisations digitalise further and cyber threats continue to grow in scale and sophistication, there is a growing need to strengthen the cybersecurity workforce by identifying and training individuals to lead cybersecurity functions in organisations.

François Bogacz

SMU Executive Development

François has a deep hands-on knowledge of the challenges of the IT industry leaders, having spent the first part of his life in management positions at Philips, Hitachi and Microsoft. 
Drawing on his extensive background in IT and management, he has been a key figure in developing high-impact learning experiences, helping senior leaders build C-suite mindsets for cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and digital transformation. He is also the Chair of the Skills and Credentials Working Group at the Digital Education Council.

Jason Mallinder

ISTARI

Before joining ISTARI, Jason was the former Global CISO and Managing Director at Credit Suisse. He was responsible for information security, including cybersecurity and technology risk management, globally. He is a certified information security manager and certified risk manager. He chaired the Investment Banking Information Security Group in the U.K. and worked closely with the Bank of England and the U.K. government on cross-sector cyber defence development, testing and exercising programmes.
