SMU Executive Development and the Singapore Institute of Directors celebrated the graduation of close to 100 participants from the SMU-SID Directorship Programme on Thursday, 28 August 2025 in an exclusive Graduation Ceremony in SMU’s city campus.
This special milestone by our graduates marks the culmination of months of in-depth learning, peer exchange, and professional growth in the SMU-SID Directorship Programme. Their commitment and effort to the programme represent not only a significant professional achievement, but also a renewed dedication to ethical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to positive change in the boardroom and beyond.
Mr Eddie Tritton, Executive Director of SMU Executive Development kicked off the ceremony with his Welcome Address, followed by Dr Fermin Diez, Governing Council Member and Co-Chair of Accreditation and Professional Development Committee, who delivered an inspiring opening remark that set the tone for this truly meaningful and impactful programme.
One of the highlights was a reflection by GE HealthCare Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer Rajan Kalidindi with his fellow graduating cohort. His words deeply resonated with his peers, highlighting the power of continuous learning, peer exchange, and the collective commitment to raise governance standards and strengthen board capabilities.
Keith Qian, Vice President, Accreditation & Professional Development at Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) then briefed the graduates about the SID Director Accreditation Programme and Listed Entity Director (LED) Bridging Programme, followed by a welcome remarks by Jocelyn Thng, Assistant Director at SMU Office of Alumni Reflections.
