
Singapore Management University (SMU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with InJourney Hospitality (PT Hotel Indonesia Natour) to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry while developing future-ready talent for Indonesia's tourism and hospitality sector through executive education, internships, recruitment pathways, leadership development and professional capability building.
InJourney Hospitality, one of Indonesia's leading state-owned hospitality groups, manages a growing portfolio of hotels and tourism assets across the country. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to equipping current and future leaders with the knowledge, skills and industry experience required to support the continued growth of Indonesia's hospitality industry.
The MOU was signed on 22 July 2026 at InJourney Headquarters in the Sarinah Building, Jakarta, during a ceremony that brought together leading universities and hospitality institutions from across Indonesia to formalise strategic industry-academia collaborations.
SMU was represented by Shoeb Kagda, Country Director, SMU Indonesia.
